The Luminette was born in 2006 after four years of university research, driven by a desire to offer an effective and portable solution to combat issues related to a lack of natural light. It was designed by a sleep specialist and two optical physicists who wanted to create a portable alternative to fixed light therapy lamps, aiming to reduce the number of lamps that ended up unused.
Some Luminettes are 100% assembled in Belgium, in Ypres, while others are assembled in China. This second assembly line was established to ensure a consistent supply, particularly after the challenges faced during the COVID-19 period. This addition also allowed us to maintain stable prices since 2019. In all cases, the components are identical, and the quality is strictly the same.
Yes, the effectiveness of the Luminette has been validated in several clinical studies conducted in collaboration with universities and research centers. These studies confirm its efficacy in combating seasonal depression, circadian rhythm disorders, and improving cognitive performance.
Our goal is to respond to your messages within 8 working hours. We achieve this most of the year, except during busier periods, particularly around the Christmas holidays, when response times may be slightly longer.
We are constantly seeking innovations to improve the well-being of our users. Soon, we will launch a new light therapy lamp incorporating light specifically designed to promote relaxation and sleep, complementing its activation light features.
The Luminette is designed to be suitable for most people, except for children under the age of 12. In the case of eye diseases, it is generally not contraindicated, but we recommend consulting a doctor to ensure its safe use.
